DAY 291: Worship In Spirit

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:24

Worship is an act of your spirit going into the Presence of God. When a believer meets with the Father, it is an unforgettable experience. In His Presence, you don't ask for what you can get from Him. You don't ask anything. You simply enjoy His company, simply spending time with Him personally and intimately.

When worshipping, you are meeting with God in a private place.

The Psalmist in Psalms 91:1 writes, "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." Worship does not require a physical location where you can go in seclusion to have a special prayer time, but rather a secret place you can go in your heart to meet with the Most High. In the place of worship, He will often heal you of your woundedness without you even realizing He's doing it. He lets goodness wash over you and bring you wholeness. You're not asking for it; it just happens. When your spirit is open to His Spirit, you will certainly change for the better.
