This passage teaches us about God's remarkable forgiveness. Learning this lesson can bring a new level of freedom to one's mind. The setting of the passage is a courtroom. The courtroom here, though, is different than what we expect in a courtroom today. In this courtroom, the prosecuting attorney is also the judge. God has the responsibility of handling both roles. Like any prosecuting attorney, he lists out our transgressions. But unlike a prosecuting attorney attempting to force us to admit to our guilt, he challenges us to look at the judge and the works of the judge. |
